And in general, if you go for coffee choose black or plain coffee if you are on the keto diet. It has no added sugar or cream. It’s very low in calories and will not increase your blood sugar level.

.If you prefer a bit of sweet taste in your coffee, add keto-friendly sweetener. So better to keep it with you when you go out as the majority of sweeteners in outside cafes are not keto-friendly.

If you like white coffee, opt for almond or coconut milk as a top up, as both of those are keto-friendly.

And be careful with whipped cream which is often offered as a top up in outside cafes. Although in general, whipped cream is full of fats and is keto-friendly, the ones offered in cafes can easily contain added sugars and carbs. You definitely don’t need those hidden gems 🙂

Starbucks offers a good selection of keto-friendly snacks. Though we still recommend having a small pack of keto-friendly nuts (or any other option which doesn’t have to be refrigerated) in your handbag if you go out. Simply because snacks in cafes might run out or the options they have available might not suit your taste.

If you suffer from high blood pressure, limit your daily coffee intake to 2-3 cups. You can ask your doctor what are the best options and frequency depending on your health condition.

And if you have sleeping difficulties, do not take coffee in the evening. Because this drink is well-known for toned and energy effects.

And remember that the very best drink for any type of diet is water. You can add lemon or cucumber to make it taste a bit differently. Make sure you drink at least 2 litres of water daily (pure water, coffee, tea and diet soft drinks do not count for those 2 litres).

And keep on exercising! Remember that 20  min walk is better than no exercise at all!
